About TTA
TheTalkArena is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away, a man sat on a couch fuming about one thing or another, and decided that it was time to do something about it- namely, blather about it without end on the internet. And TheTalkArena was born.
Shortly after that a buddy joined up and put his own spin on things, adding much to the site, but shortly after interests changed, as they are wont to do, and, parting as friends, he spun off to another blog focusing mostly on sports and other important things, and JB got busy with other things as well. TTA was in a slump.
Fast forward to a bit closer and a bit more recent. Two guys sat on a porch in Arlington, VA drinking beer and talking about politics. The idea of striking TTA back up was born, and in a big way. Among the many things these two men had in common was a penchant for dark haired women, cold beer, and Olympic-level pontification. A good streak of revival was underway. And then….
Many changes began- moves both geographical and employment-related, etc. Real-life once again reared up its ugly head. And TTA once again went on a bit of hiatus.
But now we’re back, and we’re ready to go. Let the fun begin !
