Seriously ? This is one of those “why is this a story ?” kinda deals.

Evidently South Africa (or some clown in it) has decided that Jeff Dunham’s character “Achmed the Dead Terrorist” offends Muslins. Well. Yeah ! It’s kinda supposed to. That’s the point. It’s comedy.

It offends me more when Muslims want to kill millions of people (as a few of them do), but I’m kinda sensitive that way.

Literally. Well, kinda. The contributor of so many of the quotes used on this site has disclosed to the world that he has a cancer. Specifically, in his words, “cancer of the ass”.

His funny reflection here.

The good news is that it should be completely treatable, and shouldn’t slow him down much at all. Get well, salty dog.

Buncha hooey redux

This cat over at the Weekly Standard is a genius. I’ll post the whole thing under the fold, but suffice it to say it has a little fun with the whole Palin/email kerfuffle.

Be sure to check all the messages, both subject and sender, and the message that is open. Also, be sure to look at the whole image on the WS site, or you miss some really funny icons on her desktop.

A few things that ROCK !

First, my new buddy Bytetips. He did the base design for what I’m using here now, and it was really easy to use and manipulate and customize and all that. I haven’t had a good chance to check out all the other things that he does over at his site, but if it’s anything close to the work he put into this before I started screwing around with it, I’m sure it’s fantastic.

Second, Wikipedia. I know, I know, it’s largely a lefty outfit, but if you’ve got a few grey-cells left you can read through the BS and actually get some good information from time to time. But, really, mostly they get my praise this evening because they had a bunch of the quotes that I posted on that cool little quotey thing at the upper right. And they are all correct, I’m sure. Especially the PJ stuff. (Damn he’s funny.)

Third, and this is a running theme, fall Saturdays in the South. Is there anything better than SEC football ? The shorter days, a chill in the air (maybe), the excitement, the pretty girls… I was watching a replay of the Ole Miss-Samford game today and it brought back the memories.

I take that sentiment back a bit- is there anything better than being a sideline cameraman at an SEC football game ? Man alive ! You can sometimes see better stuff than a decent free-porn site. I thought up-skirt pics were illegal….

And fourth, and last, this election drama that we are seeing play out. This is just fun, folks. I will join the chorus of millions who were less than excited about this a few weeks ago. Now I am charged. This is gonna be a lotta fun. And of course the best place to follow election coverage will be right here at TTA.
