An Unfortunate Casualty

Posted in War on Terrorism at 9:34 pm by JB

In all sincerity….. Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) and his family lost a family member in Iraq- Baucus’ nephew.

Cpl. Phillip E. Baucus, 28, died Saturday during combat operations in Anbar province, the Department of Defense said. It did not immediately release further information.

In a statement, Baucus, D-Mont., said the family was “devastated by the loss.”

Every loss is a tragedy, but this young man gave it all fighting the good fight. The thoughts and prayers of TheTalkArena are with the family. I just hope the senator doesn’t milk this personal tragedy for political gain.

Oh THIS is great news….

From AP:

Undercover investigators entered the United States using fake documents repeatedly this year _ including some cases in which Homeland Security Department agents didn’t ask for identification.

At nine border crossings on the Mexico and Canadian borders, agents “never questioned the authenticity of the counterfeit documents,” according to Government Accountability Office testimony to be released Wednesday.

“This vulnerability potentially allows terrorists or others involved in criminal activity to pass freely into the United States from Canada or Mexico with little or no chance of being detected,” concluded the GAO, the investigative arm of Congress, in testimony obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press.

But at least the Jihadists will be able to participate in the guest worker program while they are scoping out their targets.

…My old friend “Tucker.” Been fishing the White at his place since I was a young kid. Caught many a beautiful ‘bow and brown here with my Dad. And “Tuck” is gem of a guy. Not that I want my childhood haunt to be visited by a bunch of people, but if it gives Tuck more business, it’s allright by me.

Good cure for a hangover…if only they’d gone home with him…

Although it was fun until I realized that I had memorized the little jingles from PACMAN and DONKEY KONG. I’ll always be a child of the 80s - good old arcade games.
