The Devil Got Into Politics

Posted in Politics, Humor at 8:10 pm by JB

This just hit me. You may find it funny…. or not.

Sung to the tune of “Devil Went Down To Georgia” by the Charlie Daniels Band:

Well the devil went down to Georgia
He was looking for a soul to steal
He was in a bind, cause he was way behind
He was looking to make a deal

And he ran across this strange chick
Flapping her mouth and making folks hot
So he walked up to this woman and said
Chick, your name would be what ?

She said I’m Cyn McKinney…….

And the devil said, “No thanks, got enough of your type already… But I’ll save ya a seat.”

Now Cynthia McKinney will sue me. Great !! Cyn, your lawyers can reach my attorneys at the firm of Ain’t, Got, and Nothing, Esq.

But he’s a little upset with us…. or should I say just upset with me ?

Not too bad. And thanks for checking us out, KnightErrant. You seem a decent and thoughtful fella, and you are welcome here anytime. I’ll stick you in BlogFriends for now, cause even though you are a Kossack, you don’t seem kooky enough for the “Unhinged” section yet. :)

And now it’s time for….

Sir Elton John is pontificating again on the state of the culture- in this particular case, the world of ROCK !

Attention, rock ‘n’ rollers. Elton John is sick of your tattoos and piercings.

Hell YES !!!

John, who will perform at the third Fashion Rocks concert Sept. 7 at Radio City Music Hall, says he’d like American bands to adopt the cutting-edge, glam-rock style made popular by his peers.

Oh no no no no no no no….. Glam-rock ?! Are you kidding me ?

John has done some decent tunes over the years. And he’s participated in a lot of worthwhile charitable projects… but let’s not forget this is the guy who played most of a concert wearing a Donald Duck suit.

As you can tell, I’m in the process of building out the blog-roster. If you wanna be listed, comment or let me know or something…

Also, obviously making a few design changes…. let me know if you have problems with that.

DNC: This is the we fight a war….

Posted in Politics, Democrats at 1:42 pm by JB

fight a war, fight a war….

I really don’t see how anyone can actually trust these Dem-clowns to keep this country safe.

From AP, h/t to RadioBlogger:

Michigan Democratic Senator Carl Levin has refused to budge on the nomination of the head of the Justice Department’s new anti-terrorism division. However, it’s not because of any complaint about the nominee but it’s an effort to try to force the Justice Department’s hand on another matter.

Levin has been pressing the Bush administration to supply more information from F-B-I agents who reported witnessing aggressive interrogations of detainees at a Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Defense Department facility.

Isn’t Carl Levin a little old for “I’m taking my ball and going home ?” I get so exhasperated with the way these Democrats (mostly Senators) act sometimes. It’s as if they are incapable of grasping the concepts that:

  • They lost the election(s) (House, Senate, and the “biggie”)
  • Just because they WANT to be president doesn’t MAKE them president
  • The man who IS president gets to decide the vast majority of national security matters, especially in a time of war

I guess what it’s gonna take is a tragic spiral into the Kossack abyss before sensible Dem’s come to their senses and start to take their party back.

Flattery is the most sincere form of….

idiocy, at least as far as the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is concerned. Showing yet another blazing streak of originality and forethought, they have launched The Fudge Report, a blatent rip-off of the style and layout of The Drudge Report. Drudge reports about 13.6 million hits a day. I’d be surprised if this DSCC thing gets 14 a week. No hit counter there yet- probably a smart idea.

From what I can tell it’s mostly a pressroom site for other DSCC documents. What the exact purpose of it is, I’m not so sure. Oh wait, they tell us in this “article”

The goal of the site is to serve as a central depot for people to access information and news coverage about GOP Senate candidates.

Geeee… thanks, Senator Chucky Schumer. But, ummmm, we already have a site like that. It’s called the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Why Dems like trial lawyers so much

Posted in Politics, Judiciary at 11:15 am by JB

They keep needing them…. First William Jefferson in Louisianna, now the Dem anti-war poster children are engaged in a few court battles of their own.

First, from the “I wanna be Joe Wilson too, damnit” file, Princess Cynthia down in GA is suing the AJC for telling the truth.

A Democratic congresswoman from Georgia is suing The Atlanta Journal-Constitution for libel.

Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney filed charges against the newspaper’s editor Cynthia Tucker and publisher John Mellott for an editorial column that ran in the Sunday July 30 paper about McKinney’s alleged altercation with police, according to All Headline News.

Boo hoo friggin hoo…. But here’s my favorite, related to her “other charges”:

The suit says that other facts were misstated including a reported suggestion by McKinney that President Bush had known about the September 11 terror attacks in advance, and had allowed the plot to unfold so that he and his friends could profit from the resulting wars.

Ummm… she DID SAY THAT ! I know the Dems are used to newspapers lying for them, and get a little confused when the truth actually comes out, but Jiminy Cricket !

In other news, former Marine SSG Frank D. Wuterich has filed defamation of character charges against Congressman “Big” Jack Murtha relating to his comments after the Haditha affair. You remember what the “esteemed gentleman” from PA said….

…. Murtha tarnished the Marine’s reputation by telling news organizations in May that the Marine unit cracked after a roadside bomb killed one of its members and that the troops “killed innocent civilians in cold blood.”

The Kossacks have really tarnished the image of what used to be a reasonable and valiant opposition party. I’m afraid the Dems are gonna regret jumping in this bed.

Al and Jesse for Ned !

In a political world that made any sense, this story would ensure Joe Lieberman’s reelection.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will hit the trail today in support of the man challenging Sen. Joe Lieberman in the Connecticut Democratic primary.
