A bad week to be an hysterical journalist

Let’s count up all the hysteria that have died….

The hurricane that popped up quickly died out, so it served two purposes- drowned out (poor choice of words) the ramp up to the Katrina coverage, and also hasn’t done much damage. The real key is it didn’t hit New Orleans, which is what news execs and reporters were salivating over.

This Karr dude with the Ramsey case turned out to be a joke- how could you not see that coming- but still got his 15+ hrs of fame.

Richard Armitage turns out to be the initial “leak” with Valerie Plame, but since he’s been against the war in Iraq, nobody cares.

Talk about a total hysteria flame-out. All the stories the media has been going nuts over turn out to be worthless.

Here’s my question… is there a way to get the media to concentrate, do a little journalism, and concentrate on something that might actually matter ? Give us car-chases and REAL stories. Not constant concentration on garbage.
