Proof is in the pudding

I’ll have more on this later, but just a primer…. am I the only one that has noticed that Clinton, in all his legacy-building splendor, is going to anyone who will listen to talk about the plans he had ?

He had a plan to get Bin Laden. He had a plan to stop North Korea from developing nukes. He had a plan for everything.

Is there anything that troubles the world that Bill Clinton didn’t have a plan for ?

Here’s the truth, boys and girls. Bill Clinton had 8 years to do something, and all the plans in the world that he claims to have had don’t excuse the fact that in those 8 years he didn’t do jack-squat.

A former local sportscaster had a favorite saying, “Were ifs and buts candy and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas.” I have no patience for people who talk about what they wanted to do, but didn’t.

That said, George Bush has been President for six years, most of that time with Republican majorities in both houses of Congress. At some point, Republicans are going to have to take responsibility for the world as it has evolved on their watch. The excuse “it’s Bill Clinton’s fault” (last expressed by Senator McCain on North Korea just today) has gotten silly with it’s constant repetition.

Bill Clinton gets no credit for failing to do what wanted to. George Bush gets no slack for blaming Clinton for not doing what Bush has failed at.

Kinda confusing, but I know what you mean, and I agree. 8 months into a presidency you can say, with some merit, “It’s mostly the other guy’s fault.”

But now most of the responsibility lies with those at the switches currently.
