If you’ll remember, not too long ago I showed you this.
Could this be the first step?
Of course, I can’t blame her. If I had to do this, I’d consider divorce myself.
Perhaps most memorably, Houston, best known for her tender ballads “I Will Always Love You” and “The Greatest Love of All,” once recalled on the program how Brown once manually assisted her in a bowel movement (emphasis added - like it needed emphasis).
Usama’s got to have a king-sized erection over this bit of news! Inquiring (and obviously sarcastic - I don’t need a lawsuit from Whitney’s people) minds want to know, will he now make his move in between bouts of jihad fever?
I don’t know about y’all, but I’m anxious for more updates!

This is gonna be an interesting one. Not sure where this case is gonna go, but it is looking fascinating so far.
20:16- What the hell ? There is something in there !!!
20:30- This just keeps getting freakier. But in a good way. The way it’s written keeps ya on the trail. It never gets boring, never gets all touchy-feely like ER does, never gets all “serious” like the CSI things do… and especially it doesn’t have that dude from CSI: Miami who takes 10 minutes to say his name, because he is so INTENSE ! Liking this episode so far.
20:41- Can we all agree that there are some neurological issues now ? The kid is floating around ? Maybe there are aliens. Someone call Alex Jones. He’ll know. He knows everything. Of course he’ll tell you the aliens are all plants by Cheney and Rove.
Great episode. Still the best written show on TV…. or close to it anyway.
And Jennifer Morisson is a BABE !

From Ms. Natalie Maines:
The international press won’t get their first look at the documentary Dixie Chicks: Shut Up and Sing until its gala premiere at the Toronto Film Festival tonight. But EW.com got an early look at the sure-to-be-controversial doc in Los Angeles and can attest that the film will continue to bring the (ex?) country trio more plaudits from progressives and further condemnation from conservatives. And if you think singer Natalie Maines had some harsh words for President Bush in public, wait till you hear what she had to say about him behind the scenes.
In one memorable scene, Maines watches news footage of the president being interviewed about the furor that followed the singer’s on-stage comment that she was ‘’ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas,'’ which resulted in the group being dropped from most radio stations, as well as protests and plummeting sales. ‘’The Dixie Chicks are free to speak their mind,'’ Bush told Tom Brokaw at the time, adding, ‘’They shouldn’t have their feelings hurt just because some people don’t want to buy their records when they speak out. You know, freedom is a two-way street.'’
After watching this footage, Maines repeats the president’s comment about how the group shouldn’t have their ‘’feelings hurt,'’ incredulous, and then says, ‘’What a dumb f—.'’ She then looks into the camera, as if addressing Bush, and reiterates, ‘’You’re a dumb f—.'’
For Ms. Maines:
Listen you whiney little barely-talented shrew-bitch. It should say something to you that you have had to cancel concerts, move events, and the only people that really give a rats ass what you think are Canadian slackers and Sheehan-worshipers.
Nobody wants to hear your opinions on global policy. The majority of the people who bought your last album are liberal snot-noses who will never listen to it, but wanted to help you save face. It wouldn’t shock me to find out you bought a few thousand yourself.
You make your snide comments to get attention. If your music didn’t suck 10 kinds of ass you could sell records on talent, and not on your pathetic views on the way the world should work, when you clearly have staked your career on the talent of your band mates. You can’t sing, you can’t play, you are annoying as hell to watch.
Shut up and sing, indeed.

A rapper is in trouble… (I am so ready for hip-hop to go the way of disco)
Rapper 50 Cent was arrested in New York on Friday for driving dangerously in an uninsured Lamborghini through midtown Manhattan, police and witnesses said.
In all fairness, at least disco was somewhat musical. Rap/hip-hop is just punk thugs being punk thugs.

The Dem leadership in the Senate is threatening the broadcast license of ABC if they air that movie…
September 7, 2006
Mr. Robert A. Iger
President and CEO
The Walt Disney Company
500 South Buena Vista Street
Burbank CA 91521
Dear Mr. Iger,
We write with serious concerns about the planned upcoming broadcast of The Path to 9/11 mini-series on September 10 and 11. Countless reports from experts on 9/11 who have viewed the program indicate numerous and serious inaccuracies that will undoubtedly serve to misinform the American people about the tragic events surrounding the terrible attacks of that day. Furthermore, the manner in which this program has been developed, funded, and advertised suggests a partisan bent unbecoming of a major company like Disney and a major and well respected news organization like ABC. We therefore urge you to cancel this broadcast to cease Disney’s plans to use it as a teaching tool in schools across America through Scholastic. Presenting such deeply flawed and factually inaccurate misinformation to the American public and to children would be a gross miscarriage of your corporate and civic responsibility to the law, to your shareholders, and to the nation.
The Communications Act of 1934 provides your network with a free broadcast license predicated on the fundamental understanding of your principle obligation to act as a trustee of the public airwaves in serving the public interest. Nowhere is this public interest obligation more apparent than in the duty of broadcasters to serve the civic needs of a democracy by promoting an open and accurate discussion of political ideas and events.
Disney and ABC claim this program to be based on the 9/11 Commission Report and are using that assertion as part of the promotional campaign for it. The 9/11 Commission is the most respected American authority on the 9/11 attacks, and association with it carries a special responsibility. Indeed, the very events themselves on 9/11, so tragic as they were, demand extreme care by any who attempt to use those events as part of an entertainment or educational program. To quote Steve McPhereson, president of ABC Entertainment, “When you take on the responsibility of telling the story behind such an important event, it is absolutely critical that you get it right.”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!
This is ridiculous, and the almost reflexive action to protect the legacy of Clinton, and to protect their own electoral potential, is hilarious. I think the boy-who-cried-wolf routine has been played enough by these idiots.
Frankly, that ABC and Disney would consider airing a program that could be construed as right-wing political propaganda on such a grave and important event involving the security of our nation is a discredit both to the Disney brand and to the legacy of honesty built at ABC by honorable individuals from David Brinkley to Peter Jennings. Furthermore, that Disney would seek to use Scholastic to promote this misguided programming to American children as a substitute for factual information is a disgrace.
Could be constued…. I could construe everything Jennings every did as left-wing, and quite a bit of Disney/ABC policy is left-wing…
Sincerely,
Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid
Assistant Democratic Leader Dick Durbin
Senator Debbie Stabenow
Senator Charles Schumer
Senator Byron Dorgan
Yeah…. those are some reasonable people. Surprised Durbin didn’t equate the Disney and ABC executives to Pol Pot.
This is getting funnier by the day.

Brangelina is laying down the pissy Hollywood law:
Brad Pitt, ever the social activist, says he won’t be marrying Angelina Jolie until the restrictions on who can marry whom are dropped.
“Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able,” the 42-year-old actor reveals in Esquire magazine’s October issue, on newsstands Sept. 19.
Oh well Bradley, looks like you and “Angie” will just have to have more bastard children and make more movies I’ll never see for a while longer.
For me, when it comes to a whiney celebrity with social causes and family opinions, I’ll stick with Bono. At least he can sing.
If I ever start taking my poltical and social views from a celebrity in movies, music, or TV…. someone please shoot me.

on the back-story of this documentary than in the documentary itself.
An upcoming TV mini-series about the origins of the Sept. 11 plot is provoking angry complaints from Democrats about the portrayal of the Clinton administration’s response to terrorism.
Methinks thou dost protest too much.
My favorite parts involve our good friend Sandy Berger.
A statement from Samuel “Sandy” Berger, who was national security adviser to President Bill Clinton at the time, calls the scenes involving him “complete fabrications.”
…
“The incidents depicted did not happen,” said Berger in the statement. “They are not contained in the Sept. 11 Commission report, which is the most authoritative review of the events before and after the attack.”
Is this the same 9/11 commission that didn’t get to review the documents Berger stuck down his pants and subsequently “lost” ?
The film does paint a rather unflattering portrait of the incoming Bush administration — showing how they demoted White House counter-terrorism czar Richard Clarke, and failed to act against al-Qaida even after their responsibility for the November 2000 attack on the USS Cole became clear.
Not even sure what this means. Who was president in November of 2000 again ? For that matter, what administration and campaign made the results of the 2000 election unclear for almost 40 days ? Was that the distraction that prevented any response to the Cole attack ? I love watching the Clintonites squirm.

And I still don’t care. And Andrea Peyser was less than impressed.
For her very first night as CBS News diva, Katie spent a half-hour looking as if she desperately had to go potty. Her back was so stiff as she looked into the camera, pop-eyed and self-conscious, I feared it would snap.
I have three problems. First, I don’t watch network news. It’s nothing more than Entertainment Tonight about men in suits.
Second, I’ve never been a Couric fan. The very few Today Show things I’ve seen her do were vapid tripe.
And finally…. how can you take someone seriously named Katie ? Shouldn’t she, at some point, reverted to Kate. Or maybe even Katherine.
The world would be a different place if we had Wally Cronkite, Tommy Brokaw, Teddy Koppel, Danny Rather, Petey Jennings. Eddie Murrow, anyone ?

Stuck around on Fox, and am catching the brand new show “Standoff”… without giving away plot, let’s just say this…
I predict the folks at CAIR will be really upset.

I can’t explain it all, and if you’ve never watched, it doesn’t make sense…. but so far this is the best episode I’ve seen, and I’ve seen them all.
Essentially the cane is gone due to a chemically induced coma after the gunshot wounds at the end of last season…. The sarcasm is still there, but there is a different humanity-side that is cool.

Best show on TV. I know it’s not medically sound, but from a character-study perspective it’s better than anything else on the tube.
It’s kinda like James Bond with a stethescope. Very cool. I am intentionally not giving away plot-lines, but that may not last all season.

Now Cameron (played by the very lovely Jennifer Morrison) seems to be the hard-ass (no pun intended). House is almost touchy-feely. It works well for those of us who have always watched, but may be a little odd for those who haven’t.
This is turning out to be a very interesting episode.
-20:42
Well…. I don’t like Wilson much at the moment. But it is an interesting plot twist. And the lingering leg thing is interesting as well.
I just hope the requisite back-story knowledge doesn’t kill the series for potential new viewers.
Overall, a great offering this evening. We’ll see what next week does to alleviate the problems this week caused.

Much like the boys over at BFLOBLOG.com track the comings and goings of “24″, I’ll be doing much the same with the TV show “House”- which premiers the next season tomorrow night.
Damn Fox has some good programming these days.
Hugh Laurie is a comic/acting master, and this show also features the lovely Jennifer Morrison, quite possibly the prettiest woman on television today.

Some CBS affiliates are afraid to show a 9/11 documentary because of potential reprecussions from the FCC.
Broadcasters say the hesitancy of some CBS affiliates to air a powerful Sept. 11 documentary next week proves there’s been a chilling effect on the First Amendment since federal regulators boosted penalties for television obscenities after Janet Jackson’s breast was exposed at a Super Bowl halftime show.
Can these clowns really not see the difference between a documentary on the most deadly terrorist attack in this country’s history, and Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson showing titties to spice up the Super Bowl ? I mean really…. this is just silly.

RE: the death of Steve Irwin…. there is a reason there is the common phrase “if you stick your head in the lion’s mouth”….
Mears said the Australian’s death was a tragedy and his heart went out to his family.
But he added that it proved “some things in nature should be left alone”.
He said: “He clearly took a lot of risks and television encouraged him to do that.
“It’s a shame that television audiences need that to be attracted to wildlife.
“Dangerous animals, you leave them alone because they will defend themselves. Nature defends itself, it isn’t all about hugging animals and going ‘ahh’.
But as JEG said, the hearts and prayers of the TTA staff go out to his wife, his two children, and family and friends.
