I’ll give you the pieces and let you solve the puzzle.

From The Guardian:

A Romanian oil rig off the coast of Iran came under fire from an Iranian military warship and was later occupied by Iranian troops, a company spokesman said.

NATO Member Countries:

Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Rep, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

The purpose of NATO:

The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) is an alliance of 26 countries from North America and Europe committed to fulfilling the goals of the North Atlantic Treaty signed on 4 April 1949. In accordance with the Treaty, the fundamental role of NATO is to safeguard the freedom and security of its member countries by political and military means. Questioning Patriotism

Posted in Politics, War on Terrorism, 2006 Races, Democrats, National Security at 2:18 am by JB

Yes. I question the patriotism of Democratic politicians (some Republicans), most of the media, and a small portion of the American people.

If you want us to lose in the war in Iraq, if you think that the Islamic extremists want to kill us because we are a bad country- you are not a patriot.

If you run a newspaper or blog or write for one that says we should dumb-down our national defense because we are the ones in the wrong, you aren’t a patriot.

If you are a judge, or a special interest group (or a member or supporter of one) that supports the rights of terrorists over the safety or security of the American people and nation, you aren’t a patriot.

If you work in a security job with the government (CIA/DHS), and think it’s cute to leak secrets to the media to make you look “cool”, you aren’t a patriot.

If you believe “if only we understood them more, they wouldn’t hurt us”, you…. well, you might still be a patriot, but you’re stupid with a capital “upid”.

This one isn’t definate, but if you read the NY Times, the LA Times, the Washington Post, DailyKos, and the Huffington Post exclusively, odds are you aren’t a patriot.

This one IS definate… if you hate America and all it stands for, just because of who the president is… you most definately aren’t a patriot.

And some of the people that follow those lifestyles aren’t only unpatriotic, but outright treasonous. “Aid and comfort”. Who’s side are you people on ? Just a hint- if you want to immediately pull-out of Iraq, that means you want us to lose. That’s treason, in my book.

Another thing that is for sure… if you whine about “stop questioning my patriotism”, you’re a sissy-baby. Just call me a Nazi up front so I can know you are a complete idiot.

Steyn-time is always worth it

Read the whole thing, but this is a great ‘graph.

Nitwit Democrats think anything that can be passed off as a failure in Iraq will somehow diminish only Mr. Bush and the neoconservatives. In reality — a concept with which Democrats seem only dimly acquainted — it would diminish the nation, and all but certainly end the American moment.

Hate to admit it…. this is probably too accurate….

John Little is a smart fella, and I HATE his analysis. But it’s probably right.

Judges matter

Posted in Politics, Judiciary, National Security at 4:31 am by JB

And the President that picks them does too. Thank you again, Jimmy Carter, for f-ing up the country.

A judge ordered the Bush administration on Thursday to stop a domestic wiretap program it says protects Americans from terrorism but which the judge said violated their civil rights.

The administration, buoyed by polls showing Americans back its handling of security and terrorism, appealed against the federal court ruling, saying: “We couldn’t disagree more.”

U.S. District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor said the wiretaps under a five-year-old “Terrorist Surveillance Program” violated freedom of speech, protections against unreasonable searches and a constitutional check on the power of the presidency.

“There are no hereditary kings in America and no powers not created by the Constitution,” Taylor said in a 44-page ruling.

This lady was made a federal district judge in 1979. Just another way Jimmy Carter is still harming the security of this country.

A picture says a thousand words….

When it comes to the security and sensibility of this country, which one do you want ?

This one:
Rice/Bolton/UN

SecState Rice, with John Bolton backing her up. I like that.

Or do you prefer this ?:McKinney/Sheehan

Cyn McKinney and Cindy Sheehan…. scary….

Or maybe this:
Lamont/Gandy/Sharpton/Jackson

That’s Ned Lemont, the Dem nominee for Senator from CT, surrounded by the reverands Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, and the head of the National Organization of Women, Kim Gandy.

If you can look at those 3 photos and not be scared to death about the last two, then I don’t want you to vote. Ever. Again. Never, ever vote again.
